Supervisors expand passport services for the West Valley
West Valley residents will soon have more options for passport services following the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors’ vote to add additional staffing at the County’s Saratoga Library. The Saratoga Library is on its way to becoming an official passport facility. Saratoga will join the Cupertino and Los Altos libraries in offering much-needed passport services in the North County and West Valley.

West Valley “teacher housing” effort progresses
The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors selected a nonprofit development partner to build affordable housing for teachers and school staff in the West Valley. Supervisors improve traffic flow at congested Sanborn County Park trailhead
The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors adopted a set of resolutions to restrict parking near a trailhead entrance to Sanborn County Park. The action is expected to improve traffic flow near the congested John Nicholas Trailhead entrance.
Stevens Creek Park celebrates 100 years
One hundred years ago, on January 24, 1924, Santa Clara County acquired an initial 400 acres near Cupertino with the intent to establish a public park. The park, now known as Stevens Creek County Park, opened to the public later that year, making it the first County park and laying the foundation for the modern-day Santa Clara County Parks system.
